PAST AND PRESENTWho are we?
We are Javier and Pilar, a father-daughter team with a shared vision and an open heart.
I’m Pilar, the founder of El Molino, and my journey here has been shaped by a passion for helping others and a search for deeper meaning. After studying Law and Criminology at university, I immersed myself in international volunteer work, dedicating time to causes that touched my heart. Along the way, I discovered yoga—a practice that transformed my life and inspired me to create a space for healing, peace, and connection.
Together with my father, Javier, whose wisdom and love of this land are woven into every corner of our retreat, we brought new life to an old flour mill. Restoring this centennial treasure, we embraced sustainability and mindfulness, creating a sanctuary where others could find balance and discover their inner light.
El Molino, it’s more than a bussines, it’s a way of living and giving back to the world. Welcome to our family, and welcome to your journey of healing and renewal.
The House
Molino del Zegri – Yoga Retreat in Granada, Andalusia, Spain, is an old water mill, the soul of which is the stone formerly used to grind the grain, which dates from the 15th century and that you can see integrated into the house. The place is surrounded by centennial fruit trees, and vegetable gardens of organic agriculture and ditched with fresh water from the Sierra Nevada.
Facilities
It has private rooms for guests and various interior common areas, where you can enjoy and relax in the cool provided by the stone walls during the day and the warmth of the fireplaces at night. It also has many adapted areas to rest and relax outdoor while listening to the sound of running water and the forest talking to you, under the shade of vines and fruit trees. Visit our gallery
Location – Molino del Zegri
Molino del Zegri is a yoga retreat centre located on the edge of the Sierra Nevada natural park, an area that the Arabs called Sened. Its magnificent natural environment makes it the perfect place for walking tours along different hiking trails in the surrounding area. Its location is perfect: just 15 minutes away from the magical city of Granada, a centre of culture, art and of Spanish flamenco music. It is impossible not to fall in love with this place!

In Molino del Zegri, we have the environmental and social responsibility to create and promote a change in our society and we know that change begins with oneself, that is why everything that involves our retreats is 100% ecological, from our agriculture to the food or cleaning products we use.
